This week I have been doing research on elements needed to create a great and productive magazine. Today I will be talking about what I have learned about market research in a magazine.

Market research helps the owners of a magazine see who will be interested in their magazine. Market research includes surveys, focus groups, interviews, and basic observation. First you have to know exactly what you are presenting to the people who may be in these focus groups or taking these surveys. Next, develop questions that you will ask these people. Your target audience in this process is important. If your magazine is towards a certain group of people those may be the people you want to gather opinions from in your surveys, groups, and interviews. After conducting these, taking your information and interpret your findings.
