Creative Critical Reflection #1

How does your project use or challenge conventions and groups or issues? 

      My magazine is about the fashion and lifestyle of women. Women do not get as much recognition as men do. My magazine is also about lifestyle. Lifestyle in the magazine sense is usually about a couple of things. For instance, mental health, decorating, fitness and health.When women do get represented it is a misconception of what people usually of the opposite gender think women wear or what they think women represent. Woman get criticized for wearing certain clothing that society has deemed unprofessional or inappropriate. When women are represented it is usually in a sexualized way because people think that's all women bring to the table. My project is there to represent woman and what they decide to wear. Women that want to be girly and wear dresses and heels but also women that want to be different and wear suit like clothing with shoes.
